Small Group and Adult Education Brochure Summer 2022

Adult Sunday School Classes

 9:00am Join Vicar Brian for Faith through Adversity. This 6-week class pairs real life stories of our church members with commentary, scripture, discussion, and prayer. Everyone who attends will receive a printed copy of the curriculum to keep or share with others. All are invited to this opportunity to get to know each other better, meeting at the shadow of the Cross.  June 12, 19, July 17, 24, August 7, 21.

Bible StudiesBible Study3web

Katie's Table (Women's Bible Study): March 7, 2022 we will begin Habakkuk: Remembering God's Faithfulness When He Seems Silentby Dannah Gresh at 6:30pm in the Martin Luther Library. We will meet through May 23, 2022, take the summer off, and come back on September 12, 2022 to continue Habakkuk.

Men's Square Bible Study (early bird breakfast)- Wednesday mornings at 7:00am at Bob Evans.

Fit4God: Small group opportunity for Bible study and support for leading a God-honoring healthy life. We are off for the summer, but look for a class this fall that will focus on nutrition, physical, and mental health that honors God.

Additional Small Group and Serving Opportunities

Women's Book Club: Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Currently we are meeting both inperson and via Zoom. Contact Janet Hernandez for information or check the weekly announcements for the most recent reading list. Books are selected by and led by the group members.

Men's Book Club: Please check the weekly announcements or church calendar for the next book and meeting time.

Rise & Shine: walk, run, stroll group. Great opportunity for individuals and families to come together for a morning of fitness and fellowship. We meet May through October at 8am on Saturday mornings at the trailhead of the MCT trail across from Fulton Jr. High.

60's + Group:Monthly luncheons are back! Group meets at 11:30am on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Watch the announcements for the location.

5th Monday Ladies' Night Out: When there is a 5th Monday in a month, adult women meet at a restaurant for some fun, food and fellowship.

Lutheran World Relief Quilters: (No experience necessary!) Call the church office at 618-632-5562 to find out how to get involved. We meet for a tying session the first Monday of the month at 2pm.

COMMUNITY MEALS: Free meals on Monday evenings.  All are welcome.  Contact the church office or Betsy Layfield if you would like to volunteer.
