Equipping and nurturing faith in families and youth
Youth Faith Formation at Faith Lutheran Church encourages Life Transforming opportunities through age specific youth groups, cross-generational events and worship involvement. We partner with families to equip and help cultivate faith in their homes and understand the developmental, emotional and spiritual milestones of children. Youth Faith Formation also provides fun monthly fellowship activities and servant events for youth and families of all ages, as well as a weekly program for High School age youth. Youth Group with bible study is offered weekly for High School students. Monthly activities are on the calendar for all age groups. We provide resources and opportunities that equip families to cultivate faith in their homes. You are sure to find fun and fellowship through involvement in regularly scheduled and special Youth and Family Events found here.
The Youth House: The Youth House is a wonderful facility on the church property that used to be the parsonage. It was renovated in 1998 and converted into a safe and comfortable place for youth to hang out with their friends. The Youth House has many resources for youth of all ages to enjoy -- TV's, DVD/VCR players, ping-pong table, pool table, foosball table, a karaoke machine, and many other games and activities donated by the people of Faith Lutheran Church. Many Youth Faith Formation activities occur in the Youth House.
The success of Faith's youth and family effort depends on the many volunteers who serve as chaperones, drivers, coordinators, etc., etc., etc. who work with our full-time Youth and Family Director. If you are interested in volunteering or have an idea please contact Pastor Candice.
The Youth Faith Formation Board meets the first Monday of the month at 6:45 p.m. in room E7 (in the Education Wing opposite the PreK classroom) to plan activities and discuss ministry issues. Feel free to join us if you wish! Contact Traci Joyce to find out more about Faith's Youth Faith Formation Board.
