Time, Talent and Treasure
The Stewardship Board maintains and encourages caring attitudes in members of the congregation with regard to time, talent, and treasures. We care for or "steward" what God gives to us, in response to Godβs commandment to love God and our neighbors. This board ensures the financial stability of the congregation and its work in the community through programs focused on dedicated, proportionate, "first fruits" giving. We also prepare the annual congregational budget for review by the Church Council and approval by the Congregation. The Stewardship Chairperson serves as the head of the Financial Committee, which manages the endowment fund and brokerage account, in addition to overseeing the duties of the Financial Secretary.
