The Youth and Family Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church is centered around equipping and nurturing families to share faith in their homes. Through programs such as Faith Stepping Stones, parents are encouraged to begin faith traditions that will help shape the spiritual development of their children. The Youth and Family Ministry also provides fun monthly fellowship activities and servant events for youth and families of all ages, as well as weekly programs for Jr. High and High School age youth. The Youth House: The Youth House is a wonderful facility on the church property that used to be the parsonage. It was renovated in 1998 and converted into a comfortable place for youth to hang out with their friends. The Youth House contains TV’s, VCR’s, a Playstation 2, ping-pong table, pool table, foosball table, a computer, a karaoke machine, and many other games and activities which have been donated by the wonderful people of Faith Lutheran Church. Many of the Youth and Family Ministry activities occur in the Youth House. The success of the Youth and Family Ministry is due to the wonderful volunteers who serve as chaperones, drivers, coordinators, etc., etc., etc. who work with Kimberly Wolfe, the full-time Youth and Family Minister. The Board of Youth and Family meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Youth House to plan activities and discuss ministry issues. Feel free to join us if you wish! |
